Today Kaz and Louay are talking about learning English.

A US judge known for his creative sentencing has ordered three men to learn English or go to jail.

The three men, who speak Spanish, needed translators to plead guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit robbery.

The judge told the men that they could stay on parole if they studied English and got full-time jobs.

The men will return to court in 12 months time to be tested on their reading and writing skills. If they fail the test they will go to jail for 2 years.

We asked some people in London: 'Can learning English really help people avoid a life of crime?'

A man said that people should know the difference between right and wrong, whether they speak English or not.

A woman thought that crime and lack of communication go together. She said that learning English might help reduce crime.

What I understand from the story if you make amistake and you be a criminal and you go to th jail

you can help yourself and return to a god person if u study English

becouse with English you will know the right way and the bad way
